The Castor is one of the rockets of the "Quick & Easy" family made by Klima, the first european manufacturer of rocket kits and acccessories.

This line of kits includes rockets easy to assemble, suitable for beginners and for economical engines, both Klima or Estes.

Features:

The Castor is over 46 cm long, so it is not small. The fins are made of plastic and are assembled very easily by inserting them in guides made on a plastic holder. This way you do not need to put a great care in aligning them because they are perfectly aligned by the guides.

The plastic holder also includes a launch guide for 3 mm launch rod. This means it does not require to be glued to the fuselage and it is already perfectly aligned.

Instructions are detailed and accompanied by very clear illustrations. It is worth noting that, being a kit made by the only european manufacturer, instructions are written in english, german, french, spanish and italian.

The total building time can be between 15 and 45 minutes, according to the ability of the builder or if you want to paint it.

A great feature of this kit is the shock cord: it is attached to the motor mount and therefore there are no attachment points inside the fuselage which may disturb the ejection of the parachute, and is made partly of Kevlar and partly of elastic cord. This will not only ensure an almost eternal life but also a great strength.

The body tube is made of glossy white kraft cardboard and does not require painting. Along with yellow fins, black fin can and black nose cone comprises a coloring scheme already satisfactory, which is made even more beautiful by the application of self-adhesive decals.

The model is suitable for standard 18 mm rocket engines, either Klima or Estes. For very high flights you can also use the Klima D9-7.

Recovery is through a 40 cm plastic parachute that must be cut from the pre-printed plastic sheet provided.

To launch this rocket you need a launch pad with 3mm launch rod, like the Klima Pad or Estes Astron II or Porta Pad, and a launch controller like the Klima Controller, the Astron II Estes Launch Controller or Estes Electron Beam.

Engines, glue and batteries are not included.
