The Journey is a complete Launch Set. It includes a rocket, an Astron II Launch Pad and an Astron Launch Controller, and it's very easy to build. It's a streamlined and very elegant rocket.

The rocket is made of a cardboard tube, the usual strong and light Estes tube, and plastic fins. The body tube is already colored in black, you don't need to use any paint. The rocket is decorated with self adhesive decals and it will not take much more than an hour to finish it and be ready to launch.
A nice feature is that the launch lugs are already glued to the body tube. This way you don't need to carefully align them and you will be sure they are mounted in the right place.
This rocket includes a simple screw-on motor retainer, which is more effective and easy to use than the old-style engine hook.
The Astron II launch pad included is simple but effective. It can accept 3 mm launch rods which are the standard for models like the Journey.

The Astron Launch Controller included is also simple but perfect for this kind of rockets. It requires a 9V battery (not included).
The rocket is recovered by a colorful plastic parachute of 30 cm. Finally, the rocket uses standard 18 mm motors of types A, B and C.

To fly this rocket you need the motors (choose among the recommended motors above), a bag of flameproof wadding, some glue for plastic and a battery.
