A great return: the Mean Machine is a classic from Estes, created tenths of years ago and put back into production periodically. The peculiarity of this model is its length: 200 cm!

However, everything is made very lightly and therefore does not require special engines. The kit is easy to build, the tubes are of the highest quality as always (Estes BT-60) and the fins are laser cut balsa.

To facilitate the transport of such a long rocket, in this re-edition Estes has introduced a special twist locking system that allows the rocket to be separated into two shorter parts.

The Mean Machine has a 24 mm motor mount which allows it to use D12 motors and also Aerotech E motors (we recommend the E20W-7 or the E18-7W reloads for the RMS 24/40 motor).

The kit includes:

  • All the parts to build the rocket
  • 61 cm preassembled plastic parachute
  • Self-adhesive decals
  • Illustrated and detailed instructions

To build this rocket you need (not included):

Cutter, Scissors, Ruler, Pencil, Aliphatic glue, Masking tape, Transparent tape, Fine abrasive paper, Spray paints

To launch this rocket you need (not included):

  • Launch pad with 6 mm launch rod
  • Launch controller (if using Aerotech engines it must be 12 volts)
  • Engines (see list of recommended engines)
  • Flameproof wadding or parachute protection sheets
